What is Liquid Eductor?
The Liquid Eductors use primarily water or steam under specific conditions to create large pressures in the venturi pump. A simple Eductor works by the fundamental idea of pumping liquids by using high-pressure Kinetic Energy. If any high pressure is created in the convergent and divergent nozzles in the venturi, then steam is released into the other end of the atmosphere.
Since this process is carried out in the throttle or venturi, the process is also called the venturi effect. Normally all the Liquid Eductors used nowadays are operated on the basic principles of fluid flow dynamics. The liquid eductors are also called Venturi Jet Pumps.
Liquid Eductors utilize the kinetic energy of one liquid to cause the flow of another. Eductors operate on the basic principles of flow dynamics. This involves taking a high-pressure motive stream and accelerating it through a tapered nozzle to increase the velocity of the fluid (gas or liquid) that is put through the nozzle.
Working principle of Liquid Eductors: This process involves having a high-pressure motive stream and passing through a narrow nozzle to increase the velocity of the fluid, that is blown (circulated) through this nozzle. After that, the fluid is administered through a secondary chamber where the friction between the molecules of it and another fluid (normally termed the suction fluid) causes this fluid to be pumped. These fluids are mixed together in the chamber and discharged from the eductor.
Eductors use water or any other liquids or gases under pressure as the impulsive fluid, which can be accommodated in the nozzle by the venturi principle to pump other liquids or slurries. This process creates a vacuum in the pump, the high-velocity jet of liquid from the eductor nozzle enters the suction liquid, causing the suction liquid to be get pumped outside the nozzle.
While designing a eductors needs lots of skilled knowledge and experience is crucial to rightly accommodate the nozzle, diffuser, and body and their respective positions as they are all highly critical and differ according to the physical properties of the Liquid Eductors being installed. They are manufactured by using the materials like cast iron, Steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, PVC, CPVC, PVDF, Polypropylene, etc.
Benefits or advantages of liquid Eductor
Cost-effective: The cost is economical and cost-friendly. The parts or units to build the equipment is small.
No Moving Parts: The Eductors do not have moving parts. So the wear and tear of this equipment are avoided.
Corrosion and Abrasion-resistant – they are fabricated basically any feasible material, the liquid eductors are unaffected by the circumstances and surrounding conditions
Long-Lasting Equipment : The equipment parts are made of highly durable materials like steel, carbon steel, polyurethane materials etc.
Reduced Operating Times: The operating time is reduced to a maximum extent.
Easy for Installation: The connections are simple, so easy to operate and install.
Self Priming: They are self priming ready to operate in intermittent and flexible schedules.
